What is DMCA?
DMCA stands for Digital Millenium Copyright Act, which is a subsection of Intellectual Property Law passed by USA Congress and put into place in the year 2000. Although US-based, DMCA is widely accepted and enforced throughout the world. DMCA protects copyright owners against misuse of their creative work and governs a defined set of rules and processes for removing digital content from the internet. It is most commonly connected to a procedure known as DMCA takedown. During a DMCA takedown, the party whom has created, copied or distributed stolen content against the consent of the copyright owner is contacted via a legal DMCA notice.

How do you remove content?
Our experienced agents scour the internet to identify content hosted illegally via a multi-level search term strategy. Unlike other DMCA takedown services, we do not rely on automation. This is because it is not always accurate and it cannot determine specific copyright ownership. Automated services also cannot identify if are any limitations on the content which are within the scope of Intellectual Property law. Our trained team are here to verify these factors, which they do manually. The actions we take on behalf of creators depends on the nature of content being infringed, any limitations within the Law, and the nature of the hosting sites.

How long does it take?
Once you instruct us and provide us with all the information we require, we get to work on your account within 24 hours. You'll need to allow time for the DMCA takedown process to take effect. Some hosts respond within 24-48 hours, others we expect up to a 7 day lead time. With search engine removals, these are usually swift, sometimes even same day. On average we see over 50% of reported content removed within a few days, and 98% or more removed in 1-2 weeks.

Are you able to take down all of my illegally hosted content?
The vast majority, yes. We quote that we remove 98% or more as there are always hosts who do not co-operate because they are either in geographic locations where Intellectual Property Law is not enforced, or they are simply slippery pirates that don't care. In some cases we need to remove content by trying two or more different strategies if the original takedown method is not successful. With search engine removals we see consistent good results, and usually within 48 hours.

What do I do if I find stolen images or videos of me?
Firstly, we understand how unnerving it is to discover your content has been distributed. Please be assured, we have your back! You can send in links or screenshot by emailing our support team at support@camcontentkunoichi.com or by contacting our dedicated WhatsApp number (provided when you sign up); and we will handle it right away. We advise you not to open any links as sometimes they can contain viruses that will damage your computer or smartphone. Just right click on the link, select 'copy link address' and paste it into an email or message to us.

Do you offer content creating services?
Cam Content Kunoichi do not offer services or hosting for content creating itself. This is not within our remit. We are here to manage your intellectual property rights, remove your stolen digital creative works, safeguard your brand, privacy and increase your income potential. PROTECTING your copyrighted content that you create and post on webcam and content creator platforms... is what we do very well!

How long do I need the service for?
That depends on how long you intend to produce content for. If you're looking to continue your work, the service is ongoing. You will find that new stolen content crops up frequently. This is why our subscriptions recur on a monthly basis. If you are looking to stop working on cam or making content, you may still need our service for 2-3 months after you stop, in order to make sure everything is removed. This is because pirated content often continues to appear for some time.

Can I change my subscription?
Yes, no problem! Our service is flexible and will do what best suits your requirements. Just manage your subscription through the My Subscriptions section of your customer account. If you get stuck, email us at support@camcontentkunoichi and we can help you with any changes you need to make on your account.

How do I cancel and is there a notice period?
You can cancel through the My Subscriptions section of your customer account, or you can email us. We have no minimum contract and we do not enforce a notice period. If you wish to restart your service at a later date, just resubscribe via the Buy New Subscription link in your customer account, or come back through via the Pricing page and select which service you require.
